Service Dog information!

Welcome to China's page. As you can see by all the wonderful pictures, China is what is called a Service Dog. What is a service dog you ask? Well, that is a good question. A Service Dog is a dog specially trained to aid someone with a physical disability. Disabilities of all kinds which enable the person in need to lead a 100 percent independent lifestyle. Service dogs can do a range of things. What kinda things? well they can pick up dropped items for starters. Turn off and on light switches, open/close doors, they can even be taught to aid their partner in dressing themselves. No one chooses to be handicapped and many whom are never get the chance to have a service dog. Some that are lucky enough to have such dogs are much more independent. But then you have people who will hurt Service dogs or worse run them over.


Did you know it is illegal to harm a service dog? It sure is, some states have strict penalties for injuring a service animal. Anyway it is just plain mean to hurt such loyal companions of those who cannot get around on their own.

As you can see services dogs have rights just like you and I! Still curious about Service Dogs huh? Well, like you they can go anywhere, it is illegal for someone with a service dog to be denied entrance into anyplace. Service Dogs come from all walks of life. Some good but Some service dogs come from rescue institutes and dog pounds. Not all is born and raised into their jobs. These Special dogs, abused and homeless become great companions for the person they are paired with. Though some have bad memories of what happened to them and are more shy in the beginning.
